After a very long time i never once stepped on my beloved hometown "Selat Panjang", i have finally returned there after 10 years.. HAHHAHAHAHAHa
Lots of things have changed, especially the building, the road, and the becak (Cycle Rickshaw). The buildings have changed from wooden house to cemented house. The road has changed from dirt to asphalt. The cycle rickshaw has changed to MotorCycle Rickshaw, but there are some still using cycle rickshaw.
I went there on the third day of CNY (Cue Sa) using Garuda transportation. The travel started from Sungai Duku -> Tj Buton -> Selat Panjang. The most boring part is when i had to ride the bus on Tj Buton trip. Luckily the road there has been asphalt, so the trip was good compare to 10 years ago. hahaha.
The first thing we did when we reached Selat Panjang was to ride the rickshaw. In Selat Panjang, normally around 5pm, most people will ride on rickshaw and then playing snow spray. This is one of the exciting part of Selat Panjang. We rode the rickshaw to see Selat Panjang's surroundings. It is around 10 minutes trip by motorcycle rickshaw. But if the road on Imam Bonjol is jammed, it could add a little more time for u.
One trip like that could cost RP25000 on CNY day, and could increase up to Rp 50000 on The Sixth Day (Cue Lak). We all just want to know what exactly the war game they played in Selat Panjang, by one trip, we all knew what he had to do for the next day. ahaha..
Most people would stand at the side of the road, and then spray on people riding the rickshaw. But one thing i don't really like is they use water as well. They would pour water on you, so it is advised not to wear any good clothes at that time. I got poured once as well. Damn i hate it so much. Normally they are allowed to spray only not to pour. But that is how Selat People celebrate their CNY.. hahaha
The 4th day morning was spent by going to my mother's friend house to paicia. Paicia finished around 12 or 1 pm, and i dunno what to do else after that. So, we all just going around selat panjang with motorcycle, and bought some snow sprays on the road. One can cost Rp 5000.
The 4th day afternoon, again we rode the motorcycle rickshaw and this time we make the trips four times, which cost Rp 100000. Got sprayed some girls and sprayed by side street people. Overall that day is quite good. But we all determined to go all out on the 5th day. HAHAHAHAHA..
